Blue Bossa is an ensemble scoring of the first movement of Gary Schocker’s latin-inflected classic, Blue Bossa, Red Bossa. This arrangement keeps the familiar flute part from the original flute and piano version intact as the solo line, while reimagining the accompaniment for a quintet (or choir) of piccolo, two C flutes, alto flute, and bass flute. As the subtitle says, Blue Bossa welcomes performers and listeners to the composer’s musical party!
