My piece Oneiroi unfolds as a single movement organised into 7 interconnected sections. The word ‘oneiroi’ refers to the personification of dreams in Greek mythology. I selected this word as a title to foreground the idea of dreams and dreaming since this concept was so prevalent to me during the process of composing the piece and to the atmosphere conveyed by the music overall.
