Allan Blank has written his 2nd piece for solo alto flute, which is completely different that his first. The piece is in four sections. The first and fourth share characteristics of fanfares, the first announciatory, the fourth recessional. The two central sections explore totally different moods and character, the 2nd somewhat on the lighter side, the 3rd, searching.
