Advanced. Proclamation was written in 2002 for performance by the Pesante Brass tuba quartet, of which the composer was a founding member.  It is a short work that can be used especially well as a finale or encore on a more serious concert program.  The piece uses extended tonality and pits the tonal centers of B-flat and B-natural against each other.  Most of the work is based on the motive stated at the very beginning of the piece and is very tightly constructed.  It is recommended for advanced players.
