Advanced. The four movements of Constellations for Solo Trombone and Trombone Choir are inspired by the names and mythological characters which identify specific asterisms. The movements are unified by the recurring whole-tone figure with which the solo opens the composition. Constellations was commissioned by Don Lucas, Professor of Trombone at Boston University, for 76+ Trombones in Las Vegas, Nevada, January, 2003.
