This edition marks the first publication of theRöntgen’s Sonata in C-sharp Minor (1928). I was firstintroduced to the work while visiting the composer’sgrandson Jurriaan Röntgen in Amsterdam during thesummer of 2015, at which time Mr. Röntgengenerously gave me a CD recording of the work. I wasimmediately taken with the piece and resolved to findthe score, record and edit it with the hope of bringingit to the wider attention of pianists and pianoaficionados with a new publication of it, through myrelationship with Nimbus Publishing, UK.
