Naresh and Johnny (John Mayer) were good friends, although they had pursued different musical paths on arrival in the UK, Johnny working as an orchestral player (violin) with some of London?s professional orchestras, as well as founding the band Indo-Jazz fusions. Whereas Johnny was interested in fusing the musical traditions of East and West, Naresh was committed to writing in the Western tradition, but imbuing it with Indian philosophical thought. Nevertheless, Naresh was tempted to write for Johnny?s group, and produced these two works for his friend.
