Written in 1984 at a time when I was listening to a lot of jazz, missing rhymes is my first piano piece. I was interested in exploring an imaginary poem that seems to be impossible to unfold due to its fragmentary nature and at the same time questioning whether it is possible to perceive a more subtle level of declamatory speech taking place between the fragments.
