Tintinnabulation was commissioned by Stephen Gutman and premiered by Stephen Gutman and Richard Benjafield alongside 59 other miniatures as part of a 'Grand Ritual', What Strikes The Clocke, at London's South Bank Centre (Birtwistle Festival) on 31st October 2004.
The second performance - the first as an independent composition - was given by James Hughes (percussion) with Tim Balnaves (piano) at the Djanogly Recital Hall, Nottingham University, on 7th February 2006.
