SEATS for piccolo solo was written for a dance performance of tHEL danse in collaboration with the Spanish choreographer Gabriel Hernandez and the Swiss flautist Walter Feldman. Whereas music and dance have not been synchronised at all, the complex build-up of dance movements has led, however, to similar concoctions in the music composition by allowing different playing techniques to overlap and interfere and to be finally bundled in very short whirled-up moments.
