Following on from his book Mehrstimmiges Einsingen, Tijs Krammer has developed effective exercises that encourage singers to harmonize their sound and thus work towards a more beautiful choral sound. He gives practical tips that make it easy to adapt the exercises to the level of the group. Many of the melodies in this book consist of sequences and are easy to memorize due to their simple structure. MIDI recordings of the exercises are available online in MP3 format for checking purposes. The many different variations make singing the exercises varied and challenging. A choir or vocal ensemble could not wish for a more harmonious start to rehearsals.
