Written for the composer's daughter 'Serenade' has a very attractive melody shared between the horn and piano that is characterized with eighth and sixteenth note rhythms.  The accompaniment provides a rich sonority with harp like broken chords, requiring sensitive playing from the horn melody floating above.  A fine concert piece for the young horn player.
