Klokker is the second single from Bliss Quintets upcoming album In Motion, and is written by Gard Kronborg. The tune is a nod to the ‘60s free jazz movement, and especially to the great Gato Barbieri, with open vamps, free sections, and raw energy. The title translates to Clocks, which is represented through the use of bells heard during the opening seconds of the tune. The piece builds patiently, starting from a slow rubato-landscape with a subtle bass feature, then exploding into a soaring-trumpet solo by Oscar Andreas Haug, before rounding off with a longing, melancholic melody.
