About

The Guesthouse is the culmination of three years of dedicated work, reflecting Maestro's journey into music production during the pandemic. Moving beyond acoustic traditions, he shapes a dynamically produced and compositionally focused sound, with each track a self-contained story. The album maintains human interaction as its core thread, featuring collaborative contributions from diverse artists.

The creative process saw Maestro drawing inspiration from Rosalía's rhythms, Paul Simon's storytelling, and John Coltrane's harmonic depth. Recorded across his home studio in Spain and Nilento Studios in Sweden with his trio, the album showcases a rich sonic landscape.

For the first time, Maestro ventures into lyric writing, a creative foray influenced by his recent immersion in Buddhist philosophy and his fresh start in Spain. This expansion of his artistic palette underscores his versatility, building on a career that includes celebrated releases on ECM, extensive touring, film scoring, and high-profile orchestral commissions.

The Guesthouse presents a concise, powerful statement from an artist at the peak of his creative journey, balancing technical virtuosity with profound artistic growth and a new, genre-defying sound.

Praised in the lineage of jazz greats like Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea, Maestro continues to push boundaries, blending improvisation, emotion, and diverse influences in high-energy performances worldwide.
