About

Jean Bardy's fourth album under his own name, "Au café des Anges," is a true reflection of his musical imagination.

Original compositions subtly blend his early rock-folk influences with the solid tradition of jazz, far removed from any rigid adherence to strict rules. Magnificently performed by superb instrumentalists. Energy, swing, and delicacy. Pure, uncompromising music for all ears.

Jean Bardy is a "Feline" of the double bass; very active on the jazz scene in clubs or at festivals, he has accompanied many artists including: Chet Baker, Sonny Stitt, Johnny Griffin, Jimmy Cobb, Nat Adderley, Lee Konitz, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Roy Haynes, Steve Grossman, Art Lande, Alain Jean-Marie, Michel Grailler, N'guyen Le, François Chassagnite, Eric Barret, and Marc Ducret.
