"The idea for this album came to me after leaving Lebanon, my native country, due to a series of problems that forced me to restart my life in exile.

I had an imaginary conversation with a tree, a seagull and a fish to try to understand the concept of "territory" according to them. While waiting to find my place on this globe, I found my refuge in the fragility of my suitcase.

I felt like I needed a brainwash to clear all the soot from my head and start anew, change the monotonous ringtone of my life and continue the long, plaintive road to some territorial and emotional stability. Since then, I can’t stop observing all these eclectic human beings of all colours and ethnicities that I see around me every day, feeling as lost and displaced as I do, dependent on their respective machines, living inside another larger machine that controls us all. I found myself writing about this situation we all find ourselves trapped in and try to find a logical lyrical and musical meaning to it, if any.

In addition to this, I am constantly concerned about a possible permanent social, economic and ecological collapse of the ecosystem in which we live, which is seriously suffering from “wealth supremacy”, global warming, and the slow mass extinction of all the organisms found in it, taking into account the brutal human-caused wars and the unpredictable future of humanity versus the machine.

And I wonder:

Where is my place in this vast machine?

What will remain of us when we will be left with “nothing but the sky”...

Where is home?

Where is love?"
