The album was recorded in the spring of 2025 with the quartet that was formed in connection with the awarding of the "Funen Jazz Musician of the Year" award in 2018. In addition to being excellent musicians, they are all old friends and musical colleagues.

It is a real pleasure to have brought these musicians together. They all represent some of the best we have in Danish jazz. The music on the album is an imprint of my rather long life with music. My Rhodes from 1977 is used throughout and together with Nicolai's virtuoso flute playing and Torben and Anders' well-oiled rhythm group there are echoes of Chick Corea, Quincy Jones and the records from Creed Taylor's CTI Label.
