Woah look at this thing. Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works Volume II has been one of the most influential ambient albums of all-time and now comes in this expanded edition for its 30th anniversary. SAWII is a mammoth listen loaded with a wide range of alien, beatific, isolationist, and mysterious soundscapes and immersive production, covering dark ambient, lush synth-heavy electronic, and cavernous drone. It may take a few listens to ‘click’, but once it does, it’s easy to see why it’s so revered. It contains all the songs including previous vinyl exclusives and two tracks released physically for the first time. Totally essential.
