Gabriel da Rosa’s second album for Stones Throw, Cacofonia, is an ode to Brazil – his family, its environment, and the country’s indigenous and working-class people. Gabriel wrote the album after visiting Brazil for the first time in over eight years. When he returned to L.A. he paired the bossa nova sound he explored on his debut É o que a casa oferece with new influences from both Brazil and America.
