Aleix Cansell is a pianist from Empordà who understands music through the language of accompaniment and improvisation, applied above all to modern music and jazz.

In parallel with his activity as a performer with other bands, Aleix Cansell has just presented his first album: “Negligible”, with Héctor Tejedo on double bass and Oriol Roca on drums. It consists of a mix of his own songs and versions by Lluís Llach, who seek that intimate and minimalist sound typical of European jazz, with references ranging from Keith Jarrett to Carla Bley, including Bobo Stenson and Richie Beirach.
