About
By 1970, Omega had increasingly distanced itself from the popular sound. The sound of their third album was quite progressive, signs of which were already noticeable in some of the songs on 10000 Steps. Éjszakai ogyát (Night Highway) represented a huge musical step forward for the band, but fans were less appreciative of Omega's new sound. The songs were longer and more musically mature than before. According to the majority author, Gábor Presser, the album was a musical step forward, but the momentum had waned. Due to the musical differences that came to the fore, this was Omega's last album, recorded before Gábor Presser, József Laux, and Anna Adamis left. However, from a perspective of more than fifty years, it can already be stated that the album became one of the band's most interesting and timeless works.
The explosive sound quality of the release is of course complemented by bonus material: recordings of 3 English-language singles made from 6 songs from 10000 Steps were released after the album.
