About
Gifted bassist Misha Mullov-Abbodo's 'Effra' is a collection of eight original pieces written for a jazz sextet. Unified by the sound of the band playing together with an incredible horn section and inventive improvising, the record goes on a musical journey combining many different influences from traditional jazz to swing to Brazilian samba to classical to minimalist to modern. Dedicated to Brixton in South London, the album represents the diverse melting pot of all the sights and sounds of this exciting and vibrant city.
