About
Armed only with their wind instruments and a few makeshift percussion instruments, the trio Les Incendiaires tackles Ennio Morricone's compositions for Sergio Leone's films.
With "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", "A Fistful of Dollars", "My Name is Nobody" and the "Once Upon a Time..." trilogy, deserts and canyons are invited into the rugged landscapes of imaginary folklore.
For this new repertoire, the work on the percussion set was guided by the score. Identifying the necessary sounds, a percussion and recovery specialist, Alfred Spirli, advised on the choice of instruments. A builder, Fred Soria, designed an installation allowing the trio to play wind instruments and percussion simultaneously, using their unoccupied limbs.
