That's It. Right There.

Nigel Price Organ Trio, Nigel Price, Ross Stanley, Joel Barford

That's It. Right There.
This is it, plain and simple. Well, not that simple perhaps, for what we have here is a record by a trio of top players, a true band of brothers, honed on the road and primed and ready to play.

About

THAT’S IT. RIGHT THERE.

I see jazz as constant pursuance. Not just to be all that we can be as musicians but also to reach the point where we can deliver the message succinctly, soulfully and successfully in a way that moves us, as well the audiences. There’s no greater feeling than achieving that goal. After one such gig, just after we took the final bow, Joel turned to me with a smile and said “That’s it. Right there.” I laughed and replied “That’s the name of the next album sorted!” And this is it. Right here. Every tune on this record is some kind of tribute to a past and/or current master in jazz. It means the World to us as a band to pay respectful homage to the greats whilst simultaneously creating a path of our own. I reckon every jazz musician is pretty much committed to this aim, at least to some degree. These are the reference points:

Nigel Price Guitar

Ross Stanley Hammond Organ

Joel Barford Drums
