Shortall’s vision can only get deeper and bolder with time, but for now, Bad With Names is full of good decisions.
Despite ‘Bad With Names’ being the culmination of over four years’ worth of work, in time the album will serve as a milestone moment within the ongoing catalogue of corto.alto – not as the one and only but as the first of many.
This debut […] displays a fine palette of live sounds and electronic music, building a superb sound world of next-generation jazz with rich harmonies and exciting improvisation.
