Recorded at the legendary Egrem studios in Havana, 'Havana Classic' by the award-winning UK-based group Classico Latino, who turn to Cuba for a life-affirming encounter with one of the planet's most remarkable musical cultures. Sampling Afro-Hispanic changi, romantic compositions by 'Cuban Gershwin' Ernesto Lecuona, and carnival of legendary salsa queen Celia Cruz, in the company of star Cuban musicians including vocalist Alina Torres and jazz violinist Omar Puente. 'Havana Classic' opens another colourful chapter in the extraordinary story of Classico Latino, founded off a chance university encounter between 'Classico' Englishman Graham Walker and 'Latino' Colombian Ivan Guevara. 20 years later, Classico Latino has established a cult following in Latin America and the UK. Notable performances include Festival Mono Nunez, Ginebra, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, London) and a sell-out headline concert at Bogota's Teatro Colon in July 2019 drawing national Colombian media attention.
