Chris is a young Singer and Guitarist steeped in the traditional music of the British Isles Both Chris's parents were folk singers, his father, Derek, made a number of appearances on television and radio during the 1960s. Many of the songs on this albums came from them; hence the title, Heirlooms. However, Chriss guitar style and interpretation show a very modern and personal interpretation of these songs. The songs are mainly traditional and are accompanied by Chris Sarjeant - Vocals/ Guitar/ Harmonium/Piano; Jackie Oates - 5 String Viola/ Vocals; Jonny Dyer Accordion; Issy Emeny Melodeon; Pete Flood Percussion; Keith Kendrick Concertina; Vicki Swan - Nyckelharpa/ Double Bass; and Benedict Taylor Strings.
