Produced by longtime collaborator Lee Townsend Frisells debut album for Savoy captures the musical magic thats inhabited the performances of this ensemble since they first played live together as a trio in 2008. With ten originals and six covers of tunes by the likes of Blind Willie Johnson, Benny Goodman and Stephen Foster, Frisell has created one of his most personal musical statements working with Kang and Royston who engage him in seamless and stimulating musical dialogue.
