The album you are holding in your hands includes transcriptions of works by a composer close to our hearts. We have always wanted to hear Fryderyk Chopin’s piano music in a cello version, arrangements by Auguste Franchomme’s and recordings by the vocal quartet Novi Singers being our inspirations. We feel that the extraordinarily singing and emotive character distinguishes Chopin’s music in a very special way. As the cello idiom is similar to human voice, we dared realise this project – one of the craziest and most original in our careers. Work on Chopin’s repertoire was a wonderful artistic adventure for us. We share its results with joy. Enjoy!
