Clearly coming from a strong Euro-rock sensibility, Vantomme is splendidly unabashed about pumping out great swoops of synth lines that echo and resonate ominously. Vegir may not readily fit a ‘jazz’ definition, but hellfire, what does? And when you have cosmonautic space themes like ‘Sizzurp’ to fizz round your room with, who cares?
