This 2001 recording features the great saxophonist Jean Toussaint with an all-star international line-up that includes Mulgrew Miller on piano, Robert Hurst on bass and Jeff "Tain" Watts on drums. They are joined by the Cuban percussionist Anga Diaz on two tracks and trumpeter Bill Mobley. Jean Toussaint burst onto the international jazz scene in August 1982 when he joined the prestigious Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. He has also worked with many jazz greats such as Max Roach, Horace Silver, Gil Evans, McCoy Tyner, Cedar Walton, Wynton Marsalis, Kirk Lightsey, Doug Hammond, Roy Ayers, Donald Brown, Jeff "Tain" Watts and many more.
