Populated by L.A.'s finest players, the Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band is one of the most exciting large jazz ensembles in the USA today. It's first international release features a stellar line-up of guest musicians including the a cappella vocal group Take 6, saxophonists Gerald Albright and Dave Koz and bassist Marcus Miller. Goodwin's 18-musician outfit has brought the big band tradition right up-to-date with a contemporary, highly original sound featuring his witty, intricate, and hard-swinging compositions in an eclectic mix of styles: swing, Latin, blues, classical and rock. That's How We Roll is a ten-song set of all original material, save for an intriguing rendition of Gershwin's classic "Rhapsody in Blue." Gordon has built a larger-than-life reputation for his composing, arranging, and playing skills throughout the music industry.
