This box set features the post liberation studio recordings right up to Django's tragically early death. This is Django at his usual phenomenal standard of course but also Django the experimenter pushing his style and technique in interesting directions. On some tracks he plays electric(very bluesy…), dabbles in Bebop(which he took to eagerly)and generally shows why, if this man had lived for a normal life span the whole postwar music scene might have been different.
