The myriad influences displayed on 'Afro Future Funk' include Cuban music, Ethio-jazz, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock's Head Hunters, great funk visionaries such as James Brown and the band Mandrill, the funky Latin music of The Chakachas and traditional African music.
