About
The language of BeBop is one of the most enduring and eloquent in the history of jazz music. Originally created by jobbing musicians who collaborated in their spare time, BeBop was not meant to be a commercial vehicle but it caused such a storm in the mid 1940s that recordings soon followed. The 60 BeBop statements included in this set sound as fresh and invigorating now as when they were first recorded some 70 years ago. All of the prime movers and key recordings are included here.
