Till Brönner, trumpeter and flugelhornist, and Dieter Ilg, double bassist, two of Europe’s leading Jazz exponents, are set to release their debut joint recording, Nightfall. Nightfall features a diverse set of original arrangements. The duo’s choice of repertoire ranges from the music of Johann Sebastian Bach to the Beatles and Britney Spears to original compositions. The album’s eclectic choice in repertoire ensures its global appeal. Nightfall is Brönner’s second album for Sony and follows on from the success of his previous, The Good Life, which received an outstanding four-star review from The Times. Brönner and Ilg have collaborated in various settings, including big bands and large ensembles. However, having performed in their “smallest band in the world” for the past decade, fans of the duo will be thrilled to obtain this long-awaited release.
