About

Recognised throughout the world as a leading pioneer of jazz, Avishai Cohen releases his most personal recording yet. “1970” explores the themes of unity and compassion, now synonymous with Cohen, in “Song of Hope,” while “My Lady” and “Move On” draw on classic songwriters such as Stevie Wonder to sketch out a more confessional emotional landscape. Starting in 1998, Avishai Cohen has released 16 studio albums reflecting his extraordinary and multitalented artistic personality, blending Middle-Eastern, Eastern European and African-American musical idioms to form his own unique sound. He has been honoured with countless international awards and has kept on touring extensively, culminating in a sold-out three day spell at La Philharmonie de Paris in late 2016.
