Nutured on bebop during long tenures with Art Blakey, Horace Silver and Phil Woods, trumpeter Brian Lynch has learned latin music from the inside out during two decades with Eddie Palmieri. Here Lynch and a state-of-the-art ensemble - Ralph Bowen on tenor sax, Venezuelan pianist Luis Perdomo, Russian bassist Boris Kozlov, Cubans Ernesto Simpson on trap drums and Roberto Quintero, percussion - perform seven Lynch originals plus the standard "Invitation".
