"Nothing on this disc was rehearsed or planned. We got together before the gig, picked some tunes we both knew, I suggested some possible approaches and that was it. We made a song list, I chose as we went along in each of three sets, and she graciously let me pick the keys and tempos. This disc is the happy result. Real jazz.
