The Pearl 695RE 'Dolce' series flute is an excellent intermediate level, silver plated instrument with the added benefit of a solid silver 'Forza' headjoint, enabling players to create a full-bodied and resonant sound. The 'Dolce' series also allows the advanced student or serious amateur to enjoy the qualities of a handmade flute at a more affordable price.
The 695RE model is durable and efficient, bearing all the hallmarks of Pearl's continuing comittment to outstanding quality and design. As with all Pearl flutes, this model features their trademark 'Pinless Mechanism' which eliminates the problems of traditional flute construction - protruding needles that snag clothing and give easy entry to perspiration and body acids which can cause corrosion and binding keys. It also has a 'One-Piece-Core-Bar' construction which adds overall strength to the mechanism and is easier to maintain and service.
The 695RE is an open-hole model which encourages a good finger and hand position. Open holes also make extended techniques featured in some modern repertoire and jazz music an easier possibility.
* this flute is supplied with a set of 'plugs' that can be inserted into the holes and gradually removed as the player adapts to performing on an open-hole model.
