Refractive Grounds are oil-based, highly transparent grounds that enhance the beauty of the wood. They create a depth effect and provide the wood with a permanent “moist effect”. These grounds are designed for stringed wood instruments and compatible with oil varnishes.

Its optimum penetration in the wood’s superficial layer avoids the fibres’ saturation, achieving an incomparable luminosity depth.

Before use, it is recommended to test on pieces or parts of wood similar to those of the instrument to be treated to predict the colour tone that can be achieved in each case.
