Ex anima is an album that reveals the many faces of contemporary Polish a cappella choral music – deeply rooted in liturgical and biblical tradition, yet articulated through a modern harmonic and textural language. The programme unfolds as a coherent narrative, moving from a prayer of trust, through Marian and Passion settings, to the joy of the Resurrection, and capturing the spiritual dimension of singing “from within,” as the album’s title suggests.
