How can you not be moved by the power and beauty of this text?” – Yves Castagnet

Awards and reviews

January 2025

The choir’s director, Henri Chalet, draws gorgeous singing from his forces, capitalising on the sonorous acoustic of the Basilica of Sainte-Clotilde, La Maîtrise’s temporary home during the restoration.

February 2025

Castagnet breaks the work into 10 sections, responding to the text with a colourful palette. The choral writing is also assured and satisfyingly varied.
