November 2024

All are dedicated performers in compositions of textural and rhy thmic sophistication – but it’s the work for solo viola, But When I Sleep, that packs an emotional punch, sensitively performed by Ann Beilby, who makes the most of her instrument’s veiled beauty.

Awards Issue 2024

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that this is the finest album of contemporary chamber music I have encountered this year.
