Beethoven’s early piano concerto was written between 1795 and 1801 and clearly shows both his closeness to his role model Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his own style. In this concert recording, Martha Argerich is accompanied by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Seiji Ozawa, who was regularly heard as a guest conductor in Munich.
