The debut album by MARSYAS BAROQUE! A suite connection - between Johann Sebastian Bach, one of the best-known and most frequently performed Baroque composers, and Charles François Dieupart, who receives comparatively little attention today. With two English Suites by Bach and selected Suittes de Clavessin by Dieupart, we show Bach as an inspired composer, as a composer inspired by Dieupart. And if we pay new attention to Dieupart's Suittes de Clavessin by linking them to Bach's English Suites, we expand their context through our Dieupart-inspired transcription of Bach's work.
