Awards and reviews

August 2024

an intoxicating, sometimes sentimental, homage to the utopian ideal of Jerusalem. Hannah Perowne’s capable violin often channels Vaughan Williams, while there’s Gregorian chant from the choir and a whiff of Eastern tonality from the strings. But ultimately, it all comes together splendidly.

The sheer beauty and sincerity of the music is quite overwhelming at times, a timeless construct where every element just ‘works’...I cannot recommend this recording too highly.
