Pezzone is a Los Angeles–based pianist who has worked with noted conductors Pierre Boulez, Oliver Knussen, John Adams, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Kent Nagano and perrformed as a soloist with major orchestras. During the 1990s, he was principal pianist with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and has recorded new-music albums for the Cold Blue, Mode, Tzadik, Varèse Sarabande, Decca, and Nonesuch labels
