About

This new release from arcantus presents Georg Philip Telemann's Ouverture-Suite in C Major (TWV 55:C3), Concerto for Viola da Gamba and Recorder in A Minor (TWV 52:A1) and Ouverture-Suite in B Major (TWV 55:B5, "Les Nations"). These works are performed here by the Bremen Barockorchester and director N?stor Fabi?n Cort?s Garz?n.

For the Bremer Barockorchester, culturally informed performance practice in the 21st century is characterized by a combination of expertise and individual personality. Under its artistic director N?stor Fabi?n Cort?s Garz?n, the ensemble develops challenging, distinctive programs that span from early baroque to classical music.

Whether through rediscoveries of rarely played works, their own improvisations and arrangements, or the exchange of different artistic disciplines; the BBO aims to inspire its audience, dissolve the boundaries between popular and classical music, and make Early Music accessible and relatable to everyone.

The orchestra regularly produces live recordings as part of its concert series "Barock & Umzu" in Bremen and reaches music lovers worldwide via its streaming channel, which has over a million views.

The Bremer Barockorchester repeatedly collaborates with renowned soloists, which in the past have included internationally renowned artists such as Ryo Terakado, Midori Seiler, Dorothee Oberlinger, Alfredo Bernardini, Fran?ois Fernandez, and Dmitry Sinkovsky.

In September 2020 the debut album BACH to the Roots! was released, which was highly reviewed by several professional magazines.
