Dvorák's Slavonic Dances are undoubtedly among the greatest treasures of piano music for four hands. With them, the composer, whose fame had until then been largely limited to his homeland, suddenly achieved an international breakthrough. Playing sovereignly with an ingeniously invented folklorism, they represent his very own musical personal style. The Swiss piano duo Adrienne Soós & Ivo Haag present them here in the technically immensely demanding original piano version with a great sense of the musicianly exuberance of this music.

With large-scale projects such as the performance of complete cy¬cles of the four-hand piano works of Franz Schubert and the four-hand/two-piano works of Debussy and Ravel in the Old Church Boswil, as well as their well thought-out, intelligent pro¬grammes, they have earned themselves an outstanding reputa¬tion far beyond the borders of Switzerland

The duo has been awarded the Zuger Werkjahr award for its work. Adrienne Soós und Ivo Haag were also recently named official Bösendorfer Artists. Both pianists studied at the Liszt Academy in Budapest under Péter Solymos, György Kurtág, and Ferenc Rados, among others. Their cooperation with András Schiff has had a major influence on them.
